This morning you set a course for the spectacular Saguenay Fjord, via the north shore and its little-known jewels.
Your first stop is Baie-Sainte-Marguerite, an excellent location for observing beluga whales. A platform overlooking the mouth of the bay offers an ideal vantage point from which to watch the iconic marine mammal. An easy trail leads to the observation lookout. The site also offers a beluga interpretation center.
A member of the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages of Quebec, Sainte-Rose-du-Nord is well worth a visit. Tucked into the hollow of a cove between two rocky escarpments, away from the bustle of the highway, this charming village is known for its scenic landscapes.
