Funky Falls to Heavenly Hwange
ITINERARY

1-4
Victoria Falls
Activity & Adventure + Wildlife
The day of your holiday to Zimbabwe has arrived - get ready to relax and enjoy the sights, sounds, and colors of a country rich in natural wonders as you board your international flight.

On arrival on Day 2, you'll transfer to your hotel, the luxurious Victoria Falls Safari Club, which is only 15 minutes away. Unpack your bags, settle in and relax - perhaps by enjoying some of the spa facilities available in your lodgings. Or you may just prefer to gaze at the tranquil panoramic views out of your window. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy a fabulous Zambezi Royal Sunset cruise. Over the course of two hours, enjoy floating lazily down this magnificent river, looking out for birds, hippos, crocodiles, and antelope.

The following day, it's time to see the famous falls themselves. The sound of the thundering water as you approach will give an inkling of the sight that's in store. Grab your camera when you get to the falls, because the sight of the sheer volume of water cascading to a frothing, boiling mass below has to be seen to be believed. You'll have lunch at the renowned Lookout Cafe, which offers a spectacular view of the falls and the Victoria Falls Bridge. Return to your hotel to relax before enjoying a bite of dinner there in the evening.

We want you to relax on this trip so we've left your last day at Victoria Falls free for you to spend at your leisure. Your hotel offers complimentary shuttle bus services to the town center and the Victoria Falls rainforest, offering the opportunity for further exploration - whether you'd prefer to admire the lush flora and fauna or nosey around some of the local crafts markets. Or stay in your hotel where you can dip in the pool and take a book outside to admire the lovely scenery. In the evening you'll enjoy a spectacular African Feast Dinner at the hotel's Boma restaurant - an authentic experience that's not to be missed.

5-8
Hwange National Park
Wildlife
It's time to leave for the glorious Hwange National Park on Day 5. Enjoy your breakfast, then you'll be flown from Victoria Falls to a private airstrip which is only around a 40-minute drive from your camp, the Bomani Tented Lodge. Have some lunch on arrival and enjoy your Saddlebill Tent - it's built on a wooden platform a metre off the ground, giving you wonderful views of the surrounding plains. After lunch, there's the option of an afternoon game drive. Hwange is particularly known for its population of elephants - lookout for their gentle ambling strides as they take a drink from the water holes or pans. You might spot lion, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest or zebra, along with plentiful species of exotic birds. Wash off the dust with a dip in the lodge's plunge pool, or relax on deck and look out at the waterhole only meters away, where elephants regularly come for a drink. Seeing these ancient animals at such close quarters is a rare treat indeed.

The following day, there's the option of game drives in the morning and afternoon. Whether you choose to record the many incredible wildlife moments with a camera or just with your own memory, this is certain to be a safari experience not to be forgotten. The next day is yours to spend at your leisure - things are very relaxed at Bomani and there's plenty to be enjoyed without moving very far if you prefer to just kick back with a book or have a gentle snooze in your tent. In the evening you'll head out on a game drive so as to enjoy the beautiful sight of animals in dimming light, followed by a full three-course private dinner on your return.

On Day 8 it's time to head home, but first, you'll get to experience one final game drive through this stunning natural landscape teeming with wildlife - or you can enjoy it on foot if you prefer. Breakfast at your lodge and then fly back to Victoria Falls, from where you'll catch your international flight back to London.
