The Great Wall of China
Activity & Adventure
It’s time to hit the road and head to the entrance point for your 3-day hike along the Great Wall. You’ll begin by walking the Gubeikou section towards the more remote, untouched section at Jinshanling, where you will spend the night at a simple but clean courtyard hotel. On day 5 you will be up early for one of the most spectacular sunrises you'll see. Yes, it's early but definitely worth it! You’ll be continuing east towards Simatai, but first, you’ll have lunch at Jinshanling, before driving to Wohushan for 2 hours of hiking. You’ll transfer to Xiahazi Village that evening where you will be welcomed by a local family, a truly unique experience next to the magnificent Great Wall.

On day 6 you will continue your trek along the wider Jiankou section of the Great Wall. After lunch at Mutianyu, it’s time to return to Beijing for a well-earned relaxing evening.

Spend your morning at leisure pouring over the hundreds of photos you took of your hike along the Great Wall, then hop aboard the bullet train directly to Tunxi. You’ll have a free evening there and we’d recommend visiting the vibrant Tunxi Street for a traditional Chinese shopping experience.

Mount Huangshan
It’s off to the mountains on day 8. You’ll be heading to Mount Huangshan where you can enjoy phenomenal views from the cable car and walk up to the summit. You'll be staying high up in the mountains, giving you fantastic access to a range of walks around the mountain range.

This morning you'll be up early again for another stunning sunrise over the Yellow Mountains. As the sun rises and the clouds lift, it creates a unique atmosphere and a perfect photo opportunity. You'll then return to the bottom of the mountain on the cable car, before boarding your next first-class bullet train to Hangzhou, one of China's famous imperial cities.

Having made yourself at home, you'll spend the afternoon relaxing and wandering around the impressive West Lake.

Activity & Adventure
Your final stop in mainland China will be spent in the southern province of Guangxi, and this morning you'll head to the airport for your flight to Guilin, one of the most picturesque cities in China. After a smooth transfer to the hotel, you'll have some time to yourselves to wander the city's beautiful lakes, or simply relax at the hotel and enjoy the facilities.

You’re hitting the breath-taking Li River on day 11 on a cruise to Yangshuo, passing limestone cliffs, small villages and grazing water buffalo. Enjoy lunch on board before transferring to your hotel then, in the afternoon, you’ll be visiting one of the area’s spectacular pinnacles for a taste of rock climbing. In the evening, you’ll watch the river spring to life during the dazzling Liu Sanjie light performance, created by the man who choreographed Beijing's 2008 Olympics Opening Ceremony.

The following day you will be hopping on a bicycle to enjoy a full-day cycling tour of Yangshuo's beautiful countryside.
