CHOPTA & TUNGNATH
Chopta is a peaceful and lush hill station in Uttarakhand. There’s much to explore here. It is the nexus point of the Panch Kedar (Kedarnath, Rudranath, Madmaheshwar, Kalpeshwar, and Tungnath). It is called the ‘Mini Switzerland’ of India, positioned at a height of 2680 meters (8790 feet). Chopta Uttarakhand is surrounded by lush green forests. It is an amazing offbeat weekend destination. The best time to visit Chopta is from April to November. It provides surreal views of peaks Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba. Chopta valley Uttarakhand temperatures ranging between 10°C and 32°C in summers and -15°C to 5°C in winters. This hamlet is the base for trekking up to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world. It is 225 kilometers upwards of Haridwar.


 
 
ITINERARY

Day 1 : Delhi to Chopta ( 402 Kms)
With good vibes and great enthusiasm, we begin our trip from Delhi to Chopta at 9 pm. We take the overnight journey chit-chatting and getting acquainted with our fellow travelers.

 

Day 2 : Reach Chopta
We halt for morning breakfast and to stretch our legs near Devprayag or Srinagar (depending on the time). After a quick breakfast, we carry on our journey.
We reach Chopta by afternoon, check-in to our camps and rest. Post lunch you can explore the surrounding or even head for the Baniyakund Trek (DIY).
Enjoy your dinner next to the bonfire and call it a day.

Day 3 : Trek to Tunganath
Wake up to one of the most beautiful sunrises you might have experienced. Enjoy your breakfast and start your trek toward Tunganath (9,600 ft.) which is also the highest Shiva temple of the world. Pay your respects at the highest abode of Lord Shiva.
Enjoy the breathtaking 360-degree view. The adventurous can trek further towards Chandrashila (13,000 ft.) if weather and time permits. Return to Chopta and rest at the camps. Enjoy your meals and rest for the night.

Day 4 : Deoriatal Trek and return journey

Wake up to the lazy morning and enjoy your breakfast. A group picture before checking out of the camps for lasting memories. Pack your stuff and head towards Sari village for a simple 3 km trek towards Deoria tal (8,000 ft.) or if you wish to chill and relax you can explore the Sari Village.
Post lunch we will start our journey back to Delhi. We will reach Delhi the next day early morning.

•    Any personal expenses on food, water, liquor , tips etc
