Day 1: Amman Airport – Amman Hotel
Our representative welcomes you with signage at Amman Airport. Transfer about 45 minutes to your Amman Hotel, check-in, the remainder of the day free.
Day 2: Amman Hotel - Kerak– Hiking in Dana 2 Hours – Petra Hotel
Today our journey takes us to Kerak, where you visit the famous Crusader castle built in 1132/34 by King Baldwin I. of Jerusalem. Continue to Dana Nature Reserve, Jordan's largest reserve with diverse flora and fauna, consisting of mountains and wadis. From the village, inhabited for more than 400 years by Bedouins we start a short hike of about 2 hours. Drive to Petra hotel check-in and overnight.
Day 3: 21 Feb Petra Hotel – Petra Visit – Wadi Rum Camp
After breakfast to the red rose city Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. With the guide pass the canyon, the so-called Siq, to see the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. The guide says farewell to you at the restaurant area; free time to explore Petra on your own (for instance climb the 800 stairs to the Monastery El Deir). The guided tour in Petra lasts 2.5 hours.
Drive to the protected area of Wadi Rum, have dinner at your camp and overnight.
Day 4: Wadi Rum Camp – Wadi Rum 3 Hours Jeep Ride - Dead Sea Hotel
Wadi Rum, one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. Here still Bedouins live in a traditional way, and by 4x4 Jeep tour, you discover canyons, sand dunes, and Nabatean rock inscriptions. Proceed to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, check-in at your hotel.
Day 5: Dead Sea Hotel – Free Day
Breakfast and overnight at the hotel – no other services provided.
With 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth, where ever since the days of Herod the Great, people have flocked to in search of its curative secrets. The area is characterized by high annual temperatures, low humidity, and high atmospheric pressure, the air is extremely oxygen-rich. With the highest content of minerals and salts in the world, the Dead Sea water possesses anti-inflammatory properties, and the dark mud found on its shores has been used for over 2000 years for therapeutic purposes.
Day 6: Dead Sea Hotel – Baptism Site - Mt Nebo – Madaba – Amman Hotel
Morning time we drive to the Jordan Valley, to Bethany at the Jordan River. This is the place where the baptism of Jesus Christ by John the Baptist took place. We also have a look at Elijah's Hill where Prophet Elijah ascended to heaven. Proceed to Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the Promised Land before he died. You visit the old monastery and overlook the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land. After we proceed to Madaba, where to find the famous mosaic 6th-century map of Palestine in St. George’s church. continue to Amman check-in and overnight.
Day 7: Amman Hotel – Ajloun Castle – Jerash – Amman Hotel
After breakfast drive to Ajloun the great 12th-century Islamic castle built around 1184/85 by the famous Islamic leader Salah al-Din. We leave to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. Visit the spectacular forum, Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum and the Temple of Artemis. Back to Amman for overnight.
Day 8: Amman Hotel – Amman City Tour – Amman Hotel
Day 9: Amman Hotel – Amman Airport
Breakfast, latest check out 12:00, according to departure time transfer to Amman Airport to say farewell.
