Well, the day has finally arrived: it's time for your restorative holiday to Malaysia. You'll fly to Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia and home to some of the country's greatest landmarks (which you'll be exploring soon enough). Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the afternoon going at your own pace, doing as much or little as you like. Choose to enjoy a massage in the hotel – the perfect way to rid any tension from your body after the flight.
Wake up the next day feeling refreshed and ready to explore Kuala Lumpur. You'll spend the whole day on an immersive city and countryside tour, giving you a glimpse of the colorful spectrum of Malaysia's architecture, history, and culture.
Visit the Thean Hou Chinese Temple, built to honor the Chinese sea god, Mazu; it's also one of the oldest temples in Southeast Asia. You'll then visit the National Monument – a sobering sculpture symbolizing Malaysia's fight for freedom – and the Cenotaph. Stop by the Gate of the King's Palace, Merdeka Square and Royal Selangor Club and plenty more famous sights, before enjoying lunch in a local restaurant.
Then it's onto the Batu Caves. Mount the 272 steps which lead to the shrine of Lord Krishna, framed by astonishing limestone cliffs. You'll be treated to some of Malaysia's finest scenery from way up high, so be sure to bring your camera along: just watch out for the monkeys, who are known to creep up on tourists!
Afterward, you'll visit a traditional batik factory, where you'll see how the prints are produced, before moving onto the Royal Selangor pewter factory. As the world's largest pewter factory, you'll see how the world's finest pewter is made here.
End the day back at your hotel, where you'll enjoy your final night in Kuala Lumpur.
Begin the day with an early breakfast before transferring to the Cameron Highlands. As the largest tea plantation area in Malaysia, you'll find miles of emerald greenery stretching across the valleys, inviting long afternoons spent eating strawberries and unwinding. Spend this first day at your leisure, absorbing the restorative atmosphere of the Cameron Highlands, and prepare yourself for tomorrow's sightseeing.
On day four, you'll embark on a full day's exploration of the Cameron Highlands. A local nature guide will collect you from your hotel after breakfast, where you'll travel in a 4x4 to the Cameron Highlands Tea Plantation. Continue onwards and upwards to the Mossy Forest of Gunung Brinchang, where you'll learn about the delicate ecosystem of the rainforest, as well as the medicinal benefits of the surrounding plant life.
After lunch, head back to your hotel for an afternoon spent at your leisure.
Descend the highlands to Ipoh, where you'll arrive in the afternoon at The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat. This will be your home for the next couple of days, so take your time settling in, and get ready to enjoy a program tailored to your wellbeing.
Day seven begins your wellness program. The Banjaran is dedicated to improving your welfare, taking a holistic approach in restoring your mind and body with a menu of therapeutic treatments, exercise, and healthy cuisine. You'll start with a personal training session, designed to take your fitness to a whole new level, before enjoying the rest of the day at your leisure.
On day eight, enjoy the Banjaran's signature 90-minute massage, combining Eastern and Urut Traditional Malay techniques and concluding with Chinese pressure point foot therapy. This is the perfect treatment if your body has been put under physical or mental stress, and is in much need of pampering.
Tomorrow it's onto the next part of your wellness retreat...
You'll transfer to Langkawi, where your yoga and meditation program will begin in earnest. Arrive on day nine, where you'll have some time to settle in before enjoying a restorative 2-hour yoga session followed by a 45-minute meditation. Surrounded by tropical birds and lush scenery, it's the perfect backdrop to your journey into tranquillity.
Between days 10 - 14, you will continue your wellness journey, enjoying morning and evening yoga and meditation sessions, where you'll gradually feel more at peace. We urge you to spend these days focusing entirely on yourself and letting all other cares melt away.
On day 15, it's time to part ways with Langkawi and fly home, feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle anything.
