ITINERARY

1-3
Yangon
City
The day has arrived at last – you’re off to Myanmar! Once you touch down in Yangon you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. This charming city is fairly quiet by Southeast Asia standards and its impressive colonial and spiritual heritage makes it a fascinating introduction to the country. You’ll learn all about the ancient practices of traditional medicine in Myanmar; visit a herb market and swing by the nearby shops selling everything from famous tea leaf salad to thanaka paste. Afterward you’ll visit either the U Shein clinic or Sayagyi U Nyan where you’ll learn more about traditional medicine practices. After lunch, you’ll enjoy a guided tour onboard the Elephant Coach which has been painstakingly restored into a luxurious coach with elegant wood and hand-woven fabrics decorating the interior - and there are ice-cool drinks on offer! You’ll finish the day with a trip to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda – one of Yangon’s most famous sites.
