You’ve arrived! You’re in Yangon and ready to discover the best that sensational Myanmar has to offer. It begins with an exquisite dinner at Le Planteur, one of Yangon’s finest dining restaurants set on gorgeous grounds right by Inya Lake and surrounded by beautiful gardens. During your time in the capital, you'll witness fabulous architecture including the Maha Bandoola Garden and the Independence Monument. You'll visit one of downtown's vibrant morning markets then sample breakfast with the locals. Try pancakes, steamed sticky rice, and Burmese donuts and samosa - there's also a selection of exotic fruit if you're feeling healthy! Explore Bogyoke Market, and visit Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda, home to a 70-meter long reclining Buddha. Try Burmese tea in a local tea shop, then visit Kandawgyi Park to see Karaweik Barge glistening against views of the vast lake in the background

On day 4 you'll embark on a fabulous food tour, beginning at one of downtown's morning markets. Try sticky rice, fried Burmese donuts, and samosas from the rows of street vendors, then sample palate (thick pancakes) and colorful local fruits. Finally, you’ll try laphet thoke, a Burmese tea leaf salad, then with a satisfied belly it’s time to head to the airport for your flight to Bagan.
On day 5 you’ll be exploring by bike, crisscrossing between fields and heading off-the-beaten-track to discover the famous temples of Dhammayangyi and Ananda, as well as some of the lesser-known temples. There’s time this afternoon, and tomorrow morning, to relax and just enjoy the peacefulness of your surroundings, then in the afternoon on day 6 you will be treated to a traditional Burmese tea party in a Monastery! Rest and relax in the shady grounds, dine on delicious snacks and sip tea while learning about Buddhist culture. Watch the sunset from an elevated temple platform before heading back to town.

You’ll be taking an early flight to Inle Lake on day 9, to visit the Green Hill Elephant Camp. Stroll by the river where you'll be greeted by these majestic animals and get to know them by name. Bond with them as you feed them sugarcane and bananas, then get dressed in traditional Shan garments and walk to a natural pool to share in their bathing ritual.
While at Inle Lake you'll also visit Pindaya Village for a traditional Burmese cooking experience, as you join a hands-on cooking class in a rural village. You’ll also get plenty of time to explore the vast freshwater lake with a morning of kayaking. You'll paddle through a traditional canal system lined with stilted buildings, and explore Inle's famous floating gardens where you can see chillis, tomatoes, and beans growing on the surface of the water! Back on dry land, enjoy a traditional lunch at Heritage House, dedicated to preserving the culture of Inle's indigenous people.

It’s your last day in Myanmar and it’s going to be one to remember. You’ll be heading back to Yangon, where you will embark on an evening foodie tour by trishaw! Ride through the streets towards Sule Pagoda, then walk through Chinatown and smell the fresh food being grilled on the barbeque stalls. Enjoy a delicious dinner of grilled meat, seafood and vegetables, then head to a live music venue to enjoy your last night over a post-dinner drink.
It’s time to fly to Phuket where you will spend your time on the island at your leisure. Relax on the beach, soak up the sun, enjoy a relaxing Thai massage and reflect on your incredible holiday. On day 15, it's time to fly home, dreaming of the incredible flavors you discovered and new recipes to last a lifetime.
