You’ll be flying through the midnight skies as today, you board an overnight flight to Kathmandu. Once landed, your accommodating guide will transport you through the vibrant streets of Thamel (lined with colorful prayer flags) and into the welcoming arms of the Kathmandu Guest House.
Then it’s on to the wonders of the Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. Sitting on the banks of the holy river Bagmati, Pashupatinath is a sight to behold and marks an important pilgrimage site for Hindus across the country. Absorb the bustling atmosphere as you spot locals lining the waters, cows roaming the riverside steps, and monkeys swinging in the trees above. At Boudhanath join throngs of pilgrims in a ritual walk around this vast stupa, spinning the prayer wheels for good fortune as you go.
Day three offers the chance for a more detailed exploration, with a tour of the capital's Durbar Square. Here, if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the Kumari – Kathmandu's living goddess – who is worshipped and adored by all. From here continue towards the Swayambhunath Temple, also known as Monkey Temple. You’ll quickly learn how it earned its name, as these local monkeys make themselves at home, sliding down banisters and hunching on the stairs! Perched high upon the hilltop, this sparkling shrine boasts spectacular views over the city.
Chitwan National Park
This morning you'll be boarding a short flight to Bharatpur, from where you'll be picked up and taken to the thriving jungle arena of Chitwan National Park. Conserving wildlife since the 1970s, there’s no better place to spot the elusive one-horned rhinos, elegant elephants and, if you're lucky, the majestic tigers and snapping gharial crocodiles.
Spring out of comfy beds at Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge and spend the next couple of days uncovering the delights of Chitwan. Take a boat ride along the Narayani River or see what other native wildlife is lurking further in the jungle. You can choose from a variety of unique activities and excursions from a jungle jeep ride to a scenic nature walk, a peaceful canoe trip to a witness local village life, and bird watching – there are many ways to enjoy the park’s hidden gems!
You’ll wave a fond goodbye to Chitwan as you are driven to the little-discovered town of Bandipur today. Your journey follows the gentle flow of the Trisuli river, traveling through lush rolling hills and thriving rice terraces. Perfectly perched along a ridge at 1030 meters elevation, the charming town offers striking views of the valley below. With ancient buildings and cobbled streets steeped in history and culture, exploration is an absolute must. You’ll have the afternoon to wander the village at your own pace. And after all of that adventure? You can kick back and relax in the hidden charms of the Old Inn.

Start the day right as the sun stretches its sparkling rays over the Nepalese landscape, transforming the dull morning sky into a magical golden hue. You’ll tuck into a hearty breakfast back at the hotel and grab your hiking boots before you are driven to the start point of your trek, stopping off on route in Pokhara to pick up your specialist trekking guide.

Let the trekking continue on your ninth day as you follow the contours of the lush green hills, getting to grips with the undulating terrain. You’ll wander through rugged forests and rural farmland in the morning, with your choice of villages to uncover later on in the afternoon, before sinking into the delights of your next welcoming accommodation – the Majhgaon Gurung Lodge.
Another day, and more never-ending views over vast mountains in this remote corner of the world! The next morning's walk starts off in the perfectly unspoiled village of Patlekhet. Make your way through the sweet aroma of rhododendron forests, gnarled branches, and blooming plant life. From here you’ll trek through the village of Pothana, browsing the handmade crafts on sale from local Tibetan traders. Your walk of dreamy discovery comes to an end at the welcoming Basanta Lodge, which will be your home on this final night of this unforgettable trek.
Today, you’ll embark on one more final trek through the wooded hillside and terraced farmland to the small village of Kande, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to the city of Pokhara. Perched on the banks of the beautiful Phewa Lake, you'll be staying at the Temple Tree Resort & Spa. Spend the afternoon relaxing at your own leisure, choosing from a whole host of tantalizing restaurants and cafés, lively bars and tranquil spas.
The following morning, head for the dazzling white walls of the World Peace Pagoda before visiting the International Mountain Museum. This is the perfect place to learn some of the fascinating stories of those who have attempted to tackle the world's highest mountains. In the afternoon you'll have some more time at leisure, so why not take out a colorful rowing boat onto the calm waters of Phewa Lake which, on a clear day, boasts spectacular views over the Annapurna mountain range.
This morning you'll be flying back to Kathmandu where, on arrival, you'll be whisked off to the ancient city of Bhaktapur. Enjoy a heritage walking tour and uncover an ancient city not too far from modern life, delving into the history of these ancient streets and medieval buildings. A real highlight of this visit is passing through the pottery square, where freshly made ceramics sit in neat rows drying in the sun.

More Bhaktapur exploration is on the cards today, as you wander the streets entirely at your own pace. Once your exploratory needs have been satisfied, you’ll head for Nagarkot, famous for its far-reaching Himalayan views. Marvel at the snowy peaks as you spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Rise early the next day in the stunning quarters of the Hotel Mystic Mountain to witness another Himalayan sunrise. Spend the day at your leisure, diving into the refreshing waters of the resort’s pool or taking a wander along the winding streets of the nearby villages on foot.
Then it’s time to make your way back home, as you head for Kathmandu airport on day sixteen. You’ll be sad to leave the astonishing landscape of Nepal behind, but you’ll have marvelous memories to treasure.
