Gentle Giants & Waterslides
On day one, you’ll be giddy with excitement, ready for your big adventure, rushing around, saying goodbye to everyone and telling Facebook you’re at the airport. You’ll be flying to Bangkok. Your guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel to get settled. You’ll spend the next few days touring the city by public transport so you get to see Bangkok from all angles, whether that's cruising down the canals, whizzing above the streets on the Skytrain or getting the full experience by tuk-tuk. You'll also learn about how the bowls monks use to collect alms are made.
Once you've had your fill of the sights, there'll be plenty of time to chill out by the hotel pool.
You’ll say goodbye to Bangkok and head to the north to Chiang Mai, traveling by train so you can soak up the scenery on the way, and will be welcomed by your friendly guide at the station. You’ll spend your time here exploring Chiang Mai’s heritage and visiting the Elephant Nature Park in the scenic Mae Taeng Valley. You’ll learn all about elephants and how the sanctuary cares for these majestic animals, plus you’ll have a chance to feed and bathe the elephants.
It’s time to head to the beach! You’ll head to Koh Samui, a beautiful island in the Gulf of Thailand where you’ll spend some time together just you and the family. Maybe checking out the pool at your hotel (and the slides!). We’ve got a few guided island activities we can arrange for you if you want, like a cooking class, snorkeling, and bike tour of the island.
On Day 13, you’ll depart for home, dreaming of the spellbinding memories you’ve made as a family.
