Chiang Mai
City
Day one is here and you’ll be brimming with excitement today, as you embark on your overnight flight to Chiang Mai. You’ll meet your guide at the airport and be transferred to your luxury 5-star hotel, the Shangri La. Freshen up in your interconnecting deluxe rooms where you can take advantage of the free-form swimming pool and hotel spa as the kids make their own fun in the entertaining kids club.

After a restful night’s sleep, wake up to blissful surroundings as you embark on a half-day tour of Chiang Mai's superb temples. You'll start at the Buddhist Temple of Wat Chedi Luang then continue to the late 14th-century temple of Wat Suan Dok, which houses several structures of historical significance alongside a powerfully atmospheric large open-air assembly hall.

Next on the adventure agenda is a drive to Doi Suthep Mountain where you can take in amazing sights of Northern Thailand, on the gorgeous view decks. For an unbeatable view of the city, you’ll stop at one of Thailand's most sacred temples, Wat Phra where you can take a tram all the way up to the top of 309 steps.

On day 4, you’ll take a rich cultural tour of the countryside around Chiang Mai, where you’ll engage in a visit to the Baan Thong Luang Eco-Agricultural Hill Tribe villages Here, you will be able to see the famous Karen Long Neck Hill Tribes, famous for wearing a stack of brass rings around their necks in order to elongate them. You can also learn about their habits, crafts and general ways of life. You’ll return to the Shangri La in the afternoon for a splash in the hotel pool or a quick game of family table tennis!

Khao Lak
Beach
It’s time to switch it up as you fly to Khao Lak, before checking into your Grand Deluxe room at The Sands Hotel by Kathathani where you will unearth a world of leisurely paradise. There’s no danger of undisturbed slumber, with spacious sleeping areas divided by sliding partition walls.

The rest of this stunning resort houses a fabulous selection of swimming pools, including a dedicated kids pool, and kids club, mini-golf, playground, and an entertaining games room. And in addition to all of this family fun, Katathani is home to a white sandy stretch of beautiful beach, where you can sunbathe to your heart's desire whilst building sandcastles with the kids.

Spend the final few days of this dream trip exploring the local sights of Khao Lak. Head to the rippling waterfalls of Ton Chong Fa, where each level provides something different. Set in lush, green forest, you’ll need to take good walking shoes to navigate the trek, where the kids will be able to spot native lizards and insects. You can also take a 45-minute taxi to the Phang Nga Elephant Park to views these marvelous creatures in all their sweet splendor.

You’ll depart from home on day eight, eager to tell all your friends about your unique Thailand experience.
