1-3
Hanoi
City
You'll start your Land of the Golden Star trip in Vietnam's colorful capital. Your guide will meet you at Hanoi airport and take you to your hotel to get settled. Spend your time here seeing the city sights like the famous Temple of Literature and One Pillar Pagoda. You'll spend evenings following the Hanoi food trail, sampling delicious dishes with the locals in the streets and trying the local beer.

Ninh Binh
General Tour
Leave the busy streets of Hanoi and drive into the rural countryside to Ninh Binh. You’ll spend your time here exploring the ruins of Vietnam’s first capital Hoa Lu, seeing ancient tombs and ruins. If you’re feeling fit, you can climb into the limestone kart hills and enjoy the views.

 

5-6
Halong Bay
Cruise
Cruise out into Halong Bay admiring the Karst Limestone Cliffs and incredible scenery, and then kick back with some cocktails watching the sunset on the deck. Depending on your ship’s schedule, you might have time for squid fishing by night, morning Tai-Chi, kayaking, and cave exploration.

Hue
City
Today you’ll disembark from your Halong Bay cruise and fly from Hanoi to Hue, where you’ll spend the day exploring the sights in Vietnam's former royal capital. Explore the Imperial City of Hue, take a cyclo ride, Vietnam's ubiquitous three-wheel bicycle taxi, and explore the local shops and coffee houses.

 

8-10
Hoi An
Beach
Settle into the car for your scenic drive to Hoi An through the Hai Van Pass (aka Pass of Ocean Clouds) and through the picturesque fishing village of Lang Co. Spend your days exploring the city sights or kick back at the beach.

 

11-14
Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City)
City
Today you’ll fly to Saigon with a trip to the historical Cu Chi tunnels along the way. Spend the next few days going on city tours, scoping out the coffee culture, and cruising along Ham Luong River learning about the Mekong culture. Did you know the Mekong Delta is where a third of the country’s annual crop comes from?

On Day 14 you'll depart Saigon and fly home. You’ll be bursting with spellbinding stories of your Land of the Golden Star adventure to share with your friends and family.
