ITINERARY


1-3
Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City)
City
On Day 1 you’ll be ready for your big adventure, rushing around, saying goodbye to everyone and telling Facebook you’re at the airport. You'll fly to Saigon via Bangkok. Your guide will meet you and take you to your hotel to check-in. Spend the next few days touring the city, trying out the local coffee, and dropping into a few local workshops.

Hoi An
Beach
You’ll leave your hotel in Saigon in the morning and drive to the Cu Chi tunnels to explore the underground network. Your guide will tell you about the impact war had on the country. You’ll then drive to the airport where you'll fly onto Hoi An. Spend the next few days in Hoi An at your own leisure, maybe cycling to the beach or visiting the tailors to get some new clothes. We’ve got a few guided experiences we can arrange for you as well.

 

6-7
Hue
General Tour
Take the scenic route to Hue over the Hai Van Pass (Pass of Ocean Clouds) and through Lang Co, a picturesque fishing village. Spend your time in the city exploring the Imperial Citadel, the Forbidden City and the Perfume River.

On Day 8, you’ll get an overnight train to Hanoi at about 3 pm.

Hanoi
City
Spend your time in Hanoi touring the historic city and checking out the food scene. We’ve given you some time to spend at your own leisure – but we can organize plenty of experiences you can enjoy, like a food tour on a Vespa.

10-12
Sapa
Activity and Adventure
We’ve got a treat for you in Sapa! You’ll be staying in the fantastic Topas Ecolodge – a wonderful eco-friendly lodge set in the remote but stunning countryside. The infinity pool backs onto the most breathtakingly high mountain views. Spend your time here learning about all the good things the ecolodge does for the environment and the local community. You’ll tour hilltops villages to learn about the lives of the isolated villagers.

On day 12, you’ll take the overnight train to Hanoi.

Halong Bay
Cruise
You’ll freshen up at a local hotel before driving to the pier for your overnight cruise around the Instagram famous Halong Bay. Relax onboard or explore the hidden grottoes by kayak.

14-16
Luang Prabang
City
Watch the sunrise over Halong Bay at breakfast, then head to Hanoi airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. It’s time to go to Laos! Spend your time in Luang Prabang watching monks collecting alms early in the morning, exploring the city at your own leisure and visiting Kuang Si Falls.

17-18
Vang Vieng
General Tour
Vang Vieng is a gorgeous little town on the banks of the Nam Song River, surrounded by spectacular karst scenery. You’ve got some time to explore Vang Vieng on your own as well as time to go on a guided tour to Tham Jang Cave. You'll learn about the mythology associated with the cave, enjoy panoramic views and take a dip in the cave’s natural spring water.

Vientiane
General Tour
Spend your time in Vientiane visiting caves exploring the local temples on a tuk-tuk. You’ll visit Wat Sisaket, one of the most beautiful temples in the capital, the Patuxai Monument which you can climb for panoramic views of the city, and Buddha Park where you’ll see over 200 statues.

20-21
Champasak & the 4000 islands
General Tour
Today you’ll be exploring the so-called 4000 islands. You’ll take a boat out to the nearby islands stopping to visit the local villages and waterfalls. Lippi Falls are revered by the locals who believe they trap bad spirits. You’ll spend one night in Champasak and another in Khong Island.

Kratie
Wildlife
It’s time to go to Cambodia! You’ll drive from Champasak to Kratie (it’s about 3 hours). You’ll then take a boat to Koh Trong island. Spend your time here taking part in the tree-planting project, sampling the fruit produced at the local farms and visiting a Vietnamese floating village.

23-24
Phnom Penh
Wildlife
In the morning you’ll leave Koh Trong behind and head towards Phnom Penh. On the way, you’ll stop at Kampi village where you’ll jump on a boat to search for rare Irrawaddy Dolphins. Spend your time in Phnom Penh following the food trail, touring the city and visiting the Killing Fields to learn about the country’s recent tragic history.

25-28
Siem Reap
General Tour
In the morning you’ll tour the historical French Quarter in Phnom Penh city, before flying into Siem Reap. Spend your time in Siem Reap visiting the biggest religious temple in the world: the famous Angkor Wat. Then head to the countryside, visiting the local villages and the incredible floating villages on Tonlé Sap Lake.

You'll attend a performance by Phare, the Cambodian Circus as a way to end your incredible grand tour.
