Central Valley

Day one of your adventurous trip is here and you’ll waste no time in jetting off to the bustling capital city of San Jose, where your private English-speaking driver will await you. You’ll then be transported to the heart and soul of Costa Rica, the Central Valley and enjoy a cozy stay at the Finca Rosa Blanca. 

Spend your second morning on a tour of the vibrant La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Here at this tropical nature reserve, you can expect to find a whole host of exotic birds, butterflies and if you’re lucky, you might even spot a Jaguar or two. 

For a rural experience like no other, you’ll spend your afternoon navigating your way on your very own tractor, through the Corso Lacheria. You’ll soak in the incredible views of the Poas Volcano and take in scenic landscapes. You’ll also get the opportunity to milk the cows and take your pick of fresh fruit at the local strawberry plantation.

Tortuguero
Wildlife
You’ll say goodbye to Central Valley and wave an eager hello to the rugged rainforest of Tortuguero. After a long day traveling, you’ll chill for the evening in the tropical paradise of Mawamba Lodge. 

On day four, you’ll spend some quality time together on an action-packed day out. Starting with a morning village walk, stroll along the ocean shore learning the local way of life. You’ll then glide along the river on a 2-hour boat ride, discovering the hidden wildlife within the flora and fauna of the National Park. There are 350 species of bird dotted amongst the banks, with monkeys, crocodiles, and sloths also calling it their home. 

From July to October, you may be fortunate enough to spot the peaceful sea turtles on a nesting tour.

Arenal & North
Activity & Adventure
Check into the Arenal Springs Resort in Arenal and enjoy strolling through the plentiful mix of beautiful plants, trees, and birdlife. 

More activity awaits as you embark on a private river adventure. Touring through tropical rainforest pastures, you’ll get the chance to visit one of the most biologically diverse areas of Costa Rica. Make sure to spot the monkeys at the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge. 

You’ll also enjoy a hike to the Arenal Volcano National Park. Following an easy-to-navigate trail, you can then chill in the cool waters or bask in the warmth of the hot springs. Perfect for relaxation.

Monteverde
Activity & Adventure
Experience an adventure steeped in uniqueness, like you Sky Walk through the Monteverde Cloudforest Reserve. Following a series of suspension bridges, you can take in the flora and fauna of the forest canopy. 

You’ll then zipline your way across the treetops, and can choose to end the tour with an authentic Tarzan Swing through the treetops. What an extraordinary way to complete this jungle journey.

The beach is calling! And on your way to the golden sands of Manuel Antonio, you’ll get a chance to "meet the locals", courtesy of an intimate cooking class. Enjoy the refreshing taste of naturally sourced coconut water before getting to grips with authentic Costa Rican cuisine.  

After a restful night spent at The Parador Resort and Spa, it’s finally time to kick off those heels and dip your toes in the clear waters of pure paradise. You might even get the chance to see more wildlife, from monkeys and raccoons to lizards and sloths.  

You’ll head back on Day 13 with fond memories of your tropical trip, ready to indulge your eagerly waiting friends and family.
