Jungle Harmonies
Central Valley
After your transfer to the Finca Rosa Blanca Hotel, this 12-day adventure starts the next day in Costa Rica’s Central Valley with a private full-day tour of La Paz Waterfall Gardens. The Gardens are spread over 70 acres of private reserve and are home to science exhibits, hiking trails, five waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife. Head to the hummingbird garden and spot 26 different species of these colorful and fascinating birds (see if you can count them all!). Explore the vibrant butterfly garden and learn about their lifecycle and metamorphosis. Stop by La Casita de La Paz, a farmhouse reconstruction that gives a cultural insight into the lives of rural Costa Ricans and takes a tractor ride through a dairy farm to a wonderful vantage point to see the mighty Poas Volcano. After trying your hand at milking a cow, walk the cloud forest trail and admire the beautiful native flora and fauna. The day finishes at Corso Gallos, an old milk parlor restaurant to sample a traditional meal.

La Paz Waterfall Gardens Tour
Full-day experience
Walk the winding trails of these biodiverse gardens and uncover the dazzling white waterfalls.

It's on to Tortuguero next. As a guest of Mawamba Lodge, you have access to the surrounding parks and trails. You'll take a guided hike through the lodge’s private trails and visit Mawamba Park. Your guide will enlighten you about the flora of the rainforest, and you'll see samples of achiote plants, black pepper, star fruit, and ornamental plants. Your guide will show you the butterfly and frog gardens and tell you about some of the sustainability projects.

In the afternoon relax on a guided boat tour through Tortuguero Canals. The biodiversity here is incredible. Look out for over 350 species of birds and three types of monkeys as well as caimans, crocodiles, toucans, and sloths

Arenal & North
Your time in Arenal is spent immersed in Costa Rican nature. From the Arenal Springs Hotel, you'll be taken to board a boat at the Arenal Lake Dam. During your 45-minute ride, you'll be accompanied by a naturalist who will explain the importance of the hydroelectric dam for the economy of Costa Rica. It's also a great vantage point for taking some incredible snaps of the Arenal Volcano.

From here, you'll arrive at one of the best trails in the park for wildlife spotting. After a walk, enjoy some fresh tropical fruits before heading to the park’s observation point to get a closer look at the volcano. In the evening you'll explore the primary rainforest during an evening tour at Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. You'll be able to observe frogs, snakes, lizards, mantillas, coati, margays and ocelots. Keep your eyes peeled for nocturnal birds too.
Activity and Adventure
In Bagaces it's time for a thrilling adventure on a white-water tubing tour. As you journey down the canyon, you'll hear birds and monkeys on the riverbanks. You'll enjoy a slow float for the most part, but there are several exciting and more challenging rapids along the way too. Relax overnight at the Rio Perdido Hotel.

North Pacific Coast
It's time to hit the beach, as you head towards Guanacaste on Costa Rica's Northern Pacific Coast. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy Tamarindo and the Hotel Capitan Suizo at your own pace, but there is also a kayak and snorkeling tour for you to enjoy. You'll paddle out to a small tropical island and join a guided underwater snorkeling tour followed by some well-earned relaxation on the beach.
