The time for your epic family adventure through Brazil is here at last – woo hoo! Pack up any last-minute items (we’re looking at you, teddy-they-can’t-sleep-without) and head to the airport. When you touch down in Salvador you’ll be met by a guide and taken to your hotel to settle in. You’ll spend your time in this brightly colored city exploring the fascinating museums and churches before heading on to a Capoeira school. Here you’ll learn all about this Afro-Brazilian martial art before trying your hand at it yourself.

Activity and Adventure
Today you’re off to Lençois, a pretty former diamond-mining town set against a backdrop of mountains and forests. While the quaint town – all cobbled streets and brightly painted buildings – is a draw in itself, the best adventures are to be had to explore the surrounding areas. And that’s just what you’ll be doing. While here you’ll relax in the waters of the Devil’s Pool and if you feel like it – try abseiling or zip-lining along the Rio Mucugezinho River. You’ll go caving at Lapa Doce Grotto and The Blue Grotto and try your hand at quad biking. Then it’s on to Chapada Diamantina, a gorgeous national park encompassing waterfalls, mountains, and swimming holes. Be sure to check out Ribeirão do Meio, a thrilling natural waterslide the kids will love.

Praia do Forte
Beach
After all that adrenaline-fuelled fun, it’s time to head to the beach for some well-earned relaxation. You’ll be staying at Praia do Forte, a stylish beach village with plenty of tasty restaurants and quirky shops. If the family gets bored of the palm-lined beaches, there is plenty to do around here. Check out the nearby sea-turtle reserve, go back in time at the castle ruins or hike through the stunning surrounds.

On day 11 you’ll head home with a whole new collection of shared family experiences they’ll cherish forever.
