It’s finally here! The day you get to travel through the thrilling Brazilian landscape, starting with a flight to the thriving city of Rio de Janeiro. Once you’ve landed, you’ll head straight for the Arena Leme hotel for the first of many unbelievable views and peaceful nights of slumber.
Up bright and early, you’ll capture the spirit of Rio on a memorable tour to Corcovado Mountain. You’ll regale at the famous statue of Christ, created with shining soapstone mosaics. Standing proudly at the top of the Corcovado mountain, blessing all that he sees below, soak up the clear blue skies, 360 city view and drink in the fresh mountain air, before a cruise along the famous beaches of Rio.
From one spectacular half-day tour to the next, today you’ll get to unwind on the sidelines of Guanabara Bay, overlooking Christ the Redeemer. You’ll kick off with a refreshing start at the oh so popular Bar Urca. Meet the friendly Brazilian locals and regale in stories from morning all the way through to the evening sun.
Cozy on up as you chill out with a cold beer, delicious cuisine, and beautiful people, before continuing on to the monumental icon of Sugar Loaf Mountain. You'll journey up the mountain on an astonishing ride in a cable car for stunning views of one of the most captivating cities in the entire world.
Day 4 sees you embark on a private transfer before jet setting off to the city of Manaus situated on the banks of the Negro River. On arrival, you’ll head to the blissful Amazon Ecopark Lodge. Tucked away in the remote rainforest, this is the perfect chance to rest weary legs. Then it’s off to the home of local Amazonian residents, for a delicious home-cooked Brazilian feast. Then you’ll tour the luscious lake by canoe. Be careful as you immerse yourself in waters close to the resident Alligators…
You’ll wake up to a beautiful breakfast spread, followed by a hearty stretch of the legs with an early morning nature hike. See how many intriguing animals you can spot as you get close to the native wildlife and flourishing flora and fauna ahead of a tasty lunch. Once you feel revitalized and are fully recharged, you’ll grab your rod and enjoy a fishing tour on the local lakes. Then it’s time for more stunning culinary delights at the lodge. Indulge in hearty dishes, from Pão de Queijo to Feijoada.
On your last day, you’ll set foot on a full-day tour to the truly magical ‘Meeting of the Waters’. Taken to the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, you'll gaze upon the divine display, where the dark flowing waters of the Rio Negro meet the golden waves of the Amazon River. known beautifully as ‘Rio Solimões’, rather than create a harmonic mix, these two bewitching bodies of water refuse to entwine, leaving a clear line running between them.
Activity and Adventure
Taking to the Argentinian side of the spectacular Iguaçu Falls you’ll cross the Tancredo Neves bridge, excitedly hopping onto a small train thrusting you into the depths of the famous devil's throat. With such a unique experience on offer, you’ll already be blown away before discovering the plentiful sights of the upper circuit. As you make your way back, you’ll pass through the three borders, where Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay meet, leaving a lasting impression.
You’ll walk from one adventure right on into another, as you make you a way to the Itaipu Dam, a man-made wonder to rival the beautiful nature you’ve already been introduced to on this trip. As the largest operational hydroelectric energy producer in the world, this is an impressive visit.
After a day of vast sightseeing, you’ll be eager to relax in the comforts of the Recanto Cataratas Thermas Resort.
Beach / General Tour
On day 9, you’ll gain the chance to visit the Brazilian side of the falls. You’ll drive through the park, soaking in the sounds of native wildlife and sights of the lush vegetation and feeling the fresh Brazilian wind in your hair. Look out for the inquisitive Conti's, who are well accustomed to tourists offers of tasty food. Then you’ll arrive at the falls viewing platform.
It’s here that you’ll be left utterly speechless by the whimsical white water plumes, cascading into the river with a powerful sense of purpose. This site begs to be captured with the click of a photographic button, so make sure to take your camera to fully capture this spellbinding spectacle.
Your last stop on this incredible day will be a visit to the Macuco Trail in the National Park. Hop on board a jungle jeep, soaking up the sights of sub-tropical plants and tight-knit trees, before boarding a boat that will take you whizzing through the waters of the Iguazu Canyon. Get ready to get wet!
Drying off at your final resort, the Hotel La Chimere, you’ll spend the next 2 days uncovering more Búzios delights at your own leisure. Explore the activities of your resort, or take a leisurely paddle or bike ride through the rugged rainforest, before catching your final flight home to tell compelling stories of your own.
