Pathways to Paradise
ITINERARY
1-5
Siem Reap
City
The wait is over! It's time for your big Cambodian adventure as newlyweds! You’ll fly to Siem Reap via Bangkok. At your hotel, crack open the bottle of champagne we've arranged for you to kickstart your celebration!

You'll spend a magical day at the Angkor Complex, exploring it by 'Rework' (similar to a Thai tuk-tuk). In the evening you'll enjoy a special dinner on board a Gondola Boat, floating between Angkor Thom and Prasat Chrung Temple. Enjoy canapes and champagne as the sun sets over Angkor. Later, take a romantic candlelit dinner at Sala Kdei, a traditional wooden house overlooking the royal bathing pool of Srah Srang.

You'll have free time to explore the town and temples for yourself, and we'll also arrange a cycling tour for you. You'll cycle north through rural countryside and sandy tracks to the lesser-visited Banteay Thom and enjoy a picnic lunch among the ruins. This area is less touristy so you'll have plenty of privacy. You'll also have the chance to visit a nearby pagoda for a private blessing ceremony by Buddhist Monks. If you fancy brushing up on your culinary skills, your Travel Designer can book a cooking class at Chreay Village in the Cambodian countryside.

Phnom Penh
Capital city
On Day 6 you'll transfer to Phnom Penh and spend the evening at your own leisure.

The following morning, hop into a tuk-tuk for a tour of the top attractions, including the French Quarter, Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Wat Prakeo and National Museum. In the evening you'll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

The following day you'll take a cyclo to the market where you'll walk through the aisles as your guide explains the different fruits, vegetables and herbs, and how they're used in Khmer cuisine. You'll then go to a local restaurant which uses ingredients from the local market to create french style baguettes (num pang) and tasty nom banh chok, which you can try. In the afternoon you'll visit Tuol Sleng Prison (S-21) and the Killing Fields at Choeung Ek to learn about Cambodia’s recent tragic history. It's a somber experience but it will give you a stark reminder of this beautiful country’s recent past and the ordeal the people suffered under the Khmer Rouge regime. In the evening why not take a walk along the river, before returning to your hotel.
