ITINERARY
1-3
Siem Reap
Tour
Today you’ll be bursting with excitement as you jet off overnight to Cambodia. You’ll begin your trip in Siem Reap, where you’ll be met at the airport by your English-speaking guide and whisked off to your hotel, the luxurious Shinta Mani Shack in the city’s Old French Quarter.

Once you’ve had a chance to settle into the way of life here, you’ll spend the whole of Day 3 exploring the Angkor temples at your own pace. You’ll be dropped off at one of Angkor’s largest sites Ta Prohm, otherwise known as the Tomb Raider temple thanks to Angelina Jolie filming here as Lara Croft in 2000. It’s overgrown with jungle, giving it an eerily exciting atmosphere. You’ll then move on to the incomplete temple of Ta Keo and the walled city of Angkor Thom. The centerpiece is crowned with 216 giant smiling stone faces of King Jayavarman VII – a fascinating if slightly unnerving sight! You’ll also visit the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, with their well preserved intricate carvings.

After you’ve returned to your hotel to relax and have a spot of lunch, your intrepid adventure continues as you enter the world-famous temple complex Angkor Wat. Surrounded by a huge moat, it’s thought to be the largest religious monument in the world. If you’re looking for a quiet spot to soak up the atmosphere, we recommend sitting in the shaded grassy area by the east gate. Once you’ve explored this remarkable 12th-century site – and taken lots of photos – you’ll return to your hotel later that afternoon to relax.

The Cambodian Coast
Beach
Ready for a bit of beachside R&R? The next leg of your journey takes you to the island paradise of Koh Rong, just off the south Cambodian coast. After flying from Siem Reap to the city of Sihanoukville, you’ll head to the Serendipity Beach Pier (yes, even the piers have attractive names!). From here, you’ll take a shared shuttle boat to the tropical Sok San Beach Resort, where you’ll get a chance to unwind for the next few days.

There are no set activities planned, so you can relax at your leisure. With seven bays and dense rainforest to explore, you can do as much or as little as you want. Sway in a beachside hammock, dip your toe in the warm turquoise waters or snorkel alongside parrotfish and blue-spotted rays. You can even learn how to cook local delicacy fish amok with chefs from your hotel.

If you want to get the adrenaline pumping, head to High Point Adventure Park set among the Cambodian jungle, where you can swing from rope to rope like Tarzan, surf between the trees and zoom down a 160-meter zip-line, taking in the wonderful views as you go.

As nightfall descends, one of the best things to do is wade into the water and watch the natural phenomenon of bioluminescent plankton unfold as the waves begin to glow like blue stars. It's a truly extraordinary sight.
