DRIVING TIPS FOR ARMENIA

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Drive on the right-hand side of the road.

Headlights should be turned on at night and in the conditions of the poor visibility caused by bad weather.

Children under 12 years old are not allowed to sit in the front passenger seat.

It is required for occupants in the front seat to wear seat belts.

You are only allowed to use a mobile phone while driving with a hands-free set.

You are not permitted to cross the solid white line in the middle of the road.

Drunk driving is strictly forbidden when driving in Armenia.
SPEED LIMITS
These are the standard legal speed limits in Armenia for a car without a trailer. Variations from the speed limit will be signposted.
Within city limits 60 km/h (37 mph)
Outside city limits 90 km/h (56 mph)
Motorways 110 km/h (68 mph)
Residential areas 20 km/h (12 mph)
